Windows Server is a series of operating systems designed by Microsoft to share services with multiple users and provide extensive administrative control of data storage, applications, and corporate networks.

Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services:
Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) is a server role in Active Directory that permits admins to manage and store information about resources from a network, as well as application data, in a distributed database. Active Directory Domain Services can also help admins manage a network's elements (computers and end users) and reorder them into a custom hierarchy.

Active Directory: Install

Install Active Directory Domain Service

Steps:

  • Run ( Start) -  (Server Manager).




  • Click (Add roles and features).



  • Click (Next) button.

  • Select (Role-based or feature-based installation).


  • Select a Host which you would like to add services.




  • Check a box (Active Directory Domain Services).


  • Additional Features are required to add AD DS.
  • Click (Add Features) button.


  • Click (Next) button.


  • Click (Next) button.

  • Click (Next) button.


  • Click (Install) button.


  • Installation is started.


  • After finishing Installation, Click (Close) button.



  • Restart Your server and you are done.
